CHAR 21 is used for fire protection of constructional steel, concrete and reinforced concrete structures, masonry bricks, concrete blocks and drywall partitioning walls and in other application fields. It provides protection against fire for up to 3 hours depending on substrate. CHAR 21 comes with European certification and type approvals in Europe and other countries. For resistance to fire of steel structures assessment reports are available according to EN 13381-4, for reinforced concrete systems according to EN 13381-3, for masonry bricks walls, concrete blocks and drywalls according to EN 1364-1. CHAR 21 also provides reaction to fire properties to wood substrates, with classification B-s2, d0 according to EN 13501-1.
CHAR 21 has superior environmental friendly characteristics assessed by several green-building attestations.
Additionally, CHAR 21 provides protection against carbonatation to concrete structures, the main cause of concrete damage and bars corrosion.
CHAR 21Plus for fire protection of steel structures provides structural resistance to fire up to 90 minutes, with the most recent standard EN 13381-8 and CE mark.
CHAR 22 for fire protection of steel structures providing structural resistance to fire up to 2 hours. Solventborne formulation provides fast drying and durability in difficult environmental conditions with low temperature and high humidity.
CHAR 17 waterborne intumescent clearcoat provides fire protection to wood and other flammable substrates, while preserving their natural appearance. Classified B-s1, d0 for reaction to fire.
