IRIS COATINGS has in place a Quality Management System compliant with ISO standards since 1997.
In 1999 has received the first third party certification for the system, which is now compliant with ISO 9001:2008.
Fireproofing products are manufactured under a production control scheme compliant with ETAG 018 and the surveillance of several Notified Bodies.
With high performance in the event of fire, intumescent coatings and sealants extend time to structure collapse, ensure safe escape and fire brigade operations, thus saving lives and property. Based on the principle of intumescence, our IRIS CHAR intumescent paints and our IRISeal intumescent firestops swell up in fire forming a very effective thermal insulating protective barrier.

Fire tested and approved by major European Institutes according to EN 13381 for structural steel, CHAR 21, VOC free, halogen free, and environmental friendly and CHAR 22, fast drying and durable in all environments, are our best seller intumescent paints.
FIRE PROTECTION FOR CONCRETE STRUCTURES
CHAR 21 will be used to achieve R/EI/REI up to 120 minutes onto reinforced concrete beams and columns, walls and ceilings (according to EN 13381-3) or compartment walls in bricks or concrete blocks (according to EN 1364-1).
FIREPROOFING OF FLAMMABLE SUBSTRATES
CHAR 17 and CHAR 21 will be used to improve reaction-to-fire performance of wood and other flammable substrates up to EuroClass B-s1, d0.
